Milan Linate Airport (LIN) → Aeroporto di Bergamo Orio al Serio
Linate Airport to Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport – Private Transfer
From Linate's arrivals hall to Orio's departures kerb in about 48 minutes, with no change in central Milan.
From €125
Secure card payment — instant confirmation
Flying into Linate and out of Bergamo is a classic Milan combination: a full-service flight lands at the city airport, the low-cost connection leaves from Orio al Serio, Ryanair's largest Italian base. The two are booked separately, so nobody re-routes you if the first leg runs late. A private car removes the weakest link. Your driver meets you at Linate arrivals with a name board, loads the bags and takes the eastern ring road onto the A4 Milan–Venice motorway; Orio sits right beside the Bergamo exit, so the drive ends at the terminal kerb in about 48 minutes. By public transport the same trip means going into central Milan and back out again. One fixed price per vehicle, tolls and luggage included, flight monitored from take-off.
- Airport to airport in about 48 minutes, door to terminal kerb
- No metro change and no shuttle from Milano Centrale in between
- Flight tracked in real time: the driver waits up to 60 minutes after landing, free
- Fixed price per vehicle, motorway tolls and luggage included
- Room for the hold luggage that low-cost fares charge you to bring
- Child seats free on request

Aeroporto di Bergamo Orio al Serio
About the destination
Milan Bergamo Airport, at Orio al Serio, is Italy's low-cost hub: Ryanair keeps its biggest Italian base here, and much of the traffic is short-haul flights across Europe and the Mediterranean. It has a single terminal, which makes it quick to navigate, but bag drop and security queues can be long at the busiest morning and evening waves, and low-cost gates close strictly on time. The airport lies just outside Bergamo, beside the A4 motorway and across the road from Oriocenter, one of the largest shopping centres in Italy. If you have a few hours to spare, Bergamo's walled Città Alta is a short drive away; otherwise, the car simply drops you at departures with time in hand.
About the route
Road, traffic and timing
Linate lies on the eastern edge of Milan. The transfer joins the A51 eastern ring road (Tangenziale Est) and then the A4 Milan–Venice motorway towards Bergamo; Orio al Serio airport is directly beside the Bergamo exit. Distance 57 km, about 48 minutes without traffic. Motorway tolls are included in the fixed price.
Travel tips
Know before you go
- Check your low-cost airline's hand-luggage rules before you land: re-packing at the Orio check-in desk costs time
- Bergamo's morning departure wave is busy: allow extra time at security
- Booked a hotel night near Orio before an early flight? We can drop you there instead of the terminal
What to visit
Nearby attractions
- Bergamo Città Alta — the walled upper town, a short drive from the airport
- Venetian Walls of Bergamo — UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Accademia Carrara — Bergamo's great art gallery
- Oriocenter — the large shopping centre opposite the terminal
- Lake Iseo — the nearest lake to Orio
When to visit
Seasonal notes & events
Summer and the school holidays bring Orio's busiest days, with long queues at bag drop and security: allow a generous margin. In winter, fog on the Po plain can slow the A4 in the early morning and occasionally delay flights; we keep watching your arrival and adapt the pick-up.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much does a private transfer from Linate to Bergamo airport cost?+
The price is fixed and per vehicle, not per passenger: from €125 with a Standard Sedan (up to 3 passengers), €145 with a Mercedes E-Class, €160 with a Mercedes V-Class (up to 7). Round trip from €240, with 10% off the return leg. Luggage, tolls, flight monitoring and airport meet & greet are included; any night or holiday surcharge is shown in the quote before you book.
How long does the drive from Linate to Orio al Serio take?+
About 48 minutes for 57 km on the eastern ring road and the A4. On weekday mornings and late afternoons the A4 around Milan is often congested: we time the pick-up with that in mind.
What connection time should I allow between a Linate arrival and a Bergamo departure?+
The drive is under an hour, but the two flights are not protected against each other. Add baggage reclaim at Linate, the drive and the check-in and security time your airline asks for at Orio, and leave a margin for a late arrival. When in doubt, choose the later flight.
Is there a direct public transport link between Linate and Bergamo airport?+
Not a simple one. The usual route is the M4 metro from Linate into the city, further changes to reach Milano Centrale and a shuttle bus to Orio: several changes with luggage. A private car takes you directly.
What if my flight into Linate is delayed?+
We monitor your flight and the driver adjusts automatically, waiting up to 60 minutes after the actual landing at no extra cost.
Does the transfer also run from Bergamo to Linate?+
Yes, the same route works in both directions: the driver meets you at Orio arrivals and drops you at Linate departures.
