Malpensa Airport to Milan City Centre – Private Transfer
From the terminal to your hotel near the Duomo in about 50 minutes, one fixed price for the whole car.
From €105
Secure card payment — instant confirmation
Malpensa is not on Milan's doorstep: it lies in the Varese countryside, 53 km north-west of the Duomo, and the drive takes about 52 minutes when traffic is normal. Your professional driver meets you inside arrivals with a name board — at Terminal 1 or at Terminal 2, which is used only by easyJet — loads the luggage and takes the SS336 and the A8 motorway into the city, finishing at your hotel entrance rather than at a railway station. Milan's taxis have a fixed regional fare from Malpensa, and for a couple with light bags it is an honest option; the private transfer earns its keep with families, groups of up to seven in a van, heavy luggage, child seats and late arrivals. Flight monitored, fixed price per vehicle agreed at booking.
- Meet & greet inside arrivals at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 — tell us which when you book
- Drop-off at your hotel door, not at Cadorna or Centrale station
- Driver waits up to 60 minutes after actual landing, free of charge
- Vans for up to seven passengers: one vehicle where a family would need two taxis
- Fixed price per vehicle with luggage and motorway tolls included
- Child seats on request, fitted before you reach the car

Milano centro (Duomo)
About the destination
Milan rewards those who look past its business suits. Around the Duomo — a Gothic cathedral whose roof terraces you can walk on among the spires — the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II leads to Piazza della Scala and the opera house. A short walk north, Brera mixes art galleries, the Pinacoteca and evening aperitivo; to the south-west the Navigli canals fill up at sunset. Leonardo's Last Supper is in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie and can only be seen with a timed ticket booked well in advance. The fashion streets of the Quadrilatero, Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga, sit a few minutes from the cathedral, and the Castello Sforzesco closes the historic centre to the west.
About the route
Road, traffic and timing
Malpensa lies about 50 km north-west of Milan, in the province of Varese. From either terminal the transfer joins the SS336 'Superstrada della Malpensa', merges onto the A8 Milano–Laghi motorway and enters the city from the north-west. Total 53 km, around 52 minutes outside rush hours. Motorway tolls and airport parking are included in the fixed price.
Travel tips
Know before you go
- Check your boarding pass for the terminal: easyJet is always Terminal 2, everything else almost always Terminal 1
- Book the Last Supper before you fly — timed tickets sell out weeks ahead
- For a morning departure from Malpensa, leave the centre with at least an hour of driving time plus a margin for traffic on the A8

When to visit
Seasonal notes & events
Milan's calendar is set by its trade fairs rather than by the weather. Fashion Weeks (womenswear in February and September, menswear in January and June) and the Salone del Mobile in April fill hotels across the city and slow every road in and out: book the transfer as soon as the flight is confirmed. August is the opposite — the city empties, traffic is light, but some restaurants close for the holidays. Autumn and winter mornings can bring fog on the A8.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much does a private transfer from Malpensa to Milan city centre cost?+
The price is fixed and per vehicle, not per passenger: from €105 with a Standard Sedan (up to 3 passengers), €125 with a Mercedes E-Class, €150 with a Mercedes V-Class (up to 7). Round trip from €200, with 10% off the return leg. Luggage, tolls, flight monitoring and airport meet & greet are included; any night or holiday surcharge is shown in the quote before you book.
How long is the drive from Malpensa to the Duomo?+
About 52 minutes for 53 km in normal traffic, along the SS336 and the A8. On weekday mornings and early evenings the approach into Milan can add 20 minutes or more; we plan departures to the airport with that margin built in.
Which terminal will my driver meet me at?+
At the one you land at. Terminal 2 handles easyJet flights only; almost every other airline uses Terminal 1. The two are a few kilometres apart, so give us your flight number when you book and the driver will be waiting in the right arrivals hall.
Is a private transfer better than the Malpensa Express train?+
The Malpensa Express is a good train, but it stops at Cadorna or Centrale, not at your hotel: from there you still need the metro or a taxi with your bags. With two or more people, suitcases or small children, a car that goes from the arrivals hall to your hotel entrance is simply less effort.
Can the car reach my hotel if it is in the pedestrian area around the Duomo?+
Piazza del Duomo and several streets around it are pedestrian, so no vehicle can stop in the square itself. Tell us your hotel when booking: the driver will take you to its entrance or to the closest point where a car may legally stop.
Will my driver wait if the flight is delayed?+
Yes. We follow your flight in real time and the driver adjusts to the actual landing time, waiting up to 60 minutes after touchdown at no extra charge.
