Milano Porta Garibaldi Station – Private Transfers

The skyscraper station: Porta Nuova, the TGV to Paris and Malpensa three-quarters of an hour away.

Overview

Milano Porta Garibaldi is the station of the district that changed Milan's skyline: it opens onto Porta Nuova, between Piazza Gae Aulenti, the Bosco Verticale and the office towers, and it is where business travellers heading for Isola, Garibaldi and Repubblica get off. It is a hub that brings almost everything together: SNCF's TGV INOUI trains to Paris via Turin, which leave from here rather than Centrale, the Malpensa Express calling between Centrale and the airport, the suburban lines of the Passante and two metro lines, M2 and M5. With suitcases, though, the station's many levels and the underground Passante feel like a maze. A private transfer finishes the journey at street level: Linate is around twenty minutes away, Malpensa three-quarters of an hour, the Rho trade fair a quarter of an hour.

Your driver waits at the point stated in your booking confirmation, outside the station, with a board showing your surname. If you arrive by Passante or metro, come up to street level before looking for them: the underground levels have no vehicle access.

FAQs

Does the Paris train leave from Porta Garibaldi or Centrale?+

It depends on the operator: SNCF's TGV INOUI trains leave from Porta Garibaldi, Trenitalia's Frecciarossa from Milano Centrale. Check your ticket and tell us the station when you book.

How long from Porta Garibaldi to Malpensa?+

By car about three-quarters of an hour for 49 km in clear traffic. The Malpensa Express also calls here — a good alternative with light luggage.

Is Porta Garibaldi convenient for Fiera Milano Rho?+

Yes: by car it is 11 km, a quarter of an hour in clear traffic. During the big trade-fair weeks journeys take longer, so book with a margin and tell us your hall or entrance.

Where will the driver meet me?+

Outside the station, at the point stated in your confirmation, holding a board with your surname. If you arrive on the underground Passante, come up to street level first.

Do you cover dawn departures?+

Yes, we operate 24/7: for first trains and early flights we agree the pick-up the evening before.
