Milano Centrale Station – Private Transfers
Italy's second-busiest station: 320,000 people a day, and a forecourt where finding your way is not a given.
Overview
Milano Centrale is Italy's second station by size and traffic: according to Grandi Stazioni more than 320,000 people pass through it every day, around 120 million a year, on some 600 trains. The building, opened in 1931, with its carriage gallery and great iron-and-glass train shed, is the high-speed terminus for Turin, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples and Venice, the departure point for the Frecciarossa to Paris and the EuroCity trains to Switzerland, and one of the two Milan stations of the Malpensa Express. Because it is so large, arriving is the tricky part: you step off at platform level, cross the concourse and come out onto Piazza Duca d'Aosta, among taxis, buses and roadworks. A booked transfer removes the guesswork — your driver knows where to stop, and from here Linate is around twenty minutes away, Malpensa and Orio al Serio just under an hour, Lake Como under an hour.

Where to find your driver
The meeting point is stated in your booking confirmation, on whichever side of the station suits the traffic at the time; your driver waits with a board showing your surname. If you are arriving by train, send us the train number: we track it like a flight, and a delay costs you nothing. With heavy luggage, use the lifts or moving walkways down from platform level — the concourse escalators are long.
