Malpensa is not one building with two wings: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separate facilities, a few kilometres apart, each with its own forecourt and railway station. A driver waiting at the wrong one will never see you come out.
The simple rule
- Terminal 2: dedicated to easyJet. Flying easyJet, you land here.
- Terminal 1: every other airline — scheduled, charter and long-haul.
The tricky case: codeshare flights
If your ticket shows one airline's code but the flight is operated by another, what counts is the operating carrier. You will find it on your booking confirmation ("operated by…") or on your boarding pass. If in doubt, the flight number is enough: the terminal follows from it.
Where your driver waits
In the arrivals hall of your flight's terminal, with a name board, after baggage reclaim. Waiting time is included up to 60 minutes after landing, so if bags are slow or the passport queue is long, there is no need to rush.
If you realise you are at the wrong terminal
The terminals are linked by a free shuttle bus and by the Malpensa Express, which stops at both. The transfer takes about ten minutes plus the wait for the next departure. Tell whoever is collecting you straight away: it is far quicker for the car to come to you than for you to ride the shuttle with your luggage.
And on the way home?
The same rule applies: easyJet departs from Terminal 2, other airlines from Terminal 1. Say so when you book the return transfer, and the driver drops you outside departures at the right terminal.
What to tell us when you book
- Flight number (with the operating airline).
- Arrival terminal, if you know it.
- Special luggage: pushchairs, skis, golf bags — so the right vehicle turns up.
